Massachusetts Court Activity Postponed Through May 1, 2020 due to COVID-19 Virus

Unlike the usual fun-reads that we like to publish here, we want to inform you all – present clients and future clients alike – that the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts has issued an emergency Standing Order regarding all cases in the Massachusetts courts – both ongoing cases and new cases which have not yet been filed.

In general, all matters being heard in the Probate Court and District are now delayed until May 1, 2020. In the Superior Court, all matters are delayed until April 21. Court hearings between now and then might, however, be conducted by telephone or video conference, at the judge’s discretion. At Lucas Law Group, we are getting in touch with court personnel to find out if your hearing will be continued to a future date, or heard by telephone. Please email us at for updates.

We are still seeing clients at our office on an emergency basis, while our employees are working remotely.

Stay safe, and practice “social distancing”!
